Welcome to my digital research space!

I am a settler scholar and hold a PhD in English from Simon Fraser University (Burnaby, BC, Canada). I am privileged to work on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples, and to live on the traditional territories of the Snuneymuxw First Nation. I am currently working as a Term Lecturer in the Department of Indigenous Studies at SFU.

My research uses a blend of archival and digital humanities methods to analyze collaboratively-authored twentieth- and twenty-first century Indigenous literatures in Canada, and is primarily focused on E. Pauline Johnson's and Chief Joe and Mary Capilano's Legends of Vancouver (1911) and Maria Campbell's Halfbreed (1973). You can read my PhD dissertation on these topics here

Forthcoming April 2023: For more information about my new edition of Legends of Vancouver, retitled Legends of the Capilano, check out the Research section of this website. To order a copy, visit the University of Manitoba Press's website or order locally through Indigenous-owned bookstores such as Massy Books and Iron Dog Books
